I did this painting using water soluble oils. It is of my grandpa who I remember as ‘very hard working’ and ‘silently caring’. I took several pictures of him very close to the end and then put the pictures together to create the right mood. This piece was done in an ‘emotionally realistic style’ inspired by artists like Eric Frischl.
