I was born in Rapid City, South Dakota which I still consider home. I lived there the first seven years of my life. After that my life has seemed to continually traverse across large bodies of water. I’ve lived in Barbados, the Czech Republic, Russia, Albania, Bosnia as well as the US of course. These experiences I feel make me to be aware of culture, new ideas and food.

Table Tennis, (Ping-Pong), was the first sport that I developed a deep passion for. As soon as I started playing Table Tennis in Barbados I was hooked. I played several hours a day which eventually led to me being among the top players in Barbados during my youth. I still play today and have enjoyed the sports growing popularity in the US in recent years.

I have been a runner my whole life. I run about 20 miles a week currently. The majority of this distance is on a neighborhood run through Rock Creek Park in DC where I currently live. I meet with 2-10 other guys in the ‘hood on Saturdays and we do a loop around the park. It has been a catalyst to me enjoying running more. Not only are the people great but so is Rock Creek Park!

Cycling has been a huge part of my life since I was about 16. I have never been into cars really so if I am going somewhere – there is a good chance it is on a bike. I currently have a road bike (Fuji Roubaix set up with Sram Force) and a track bike that is set up with a geometry similar to cyclocross bike. Over the years I have gotten into the mechanics of bikes. I work on them quite a bit for my workshop, ‘hands-on’ fix.

Fine Art has been a big part of my life since I was about seven. Growing up, I was pretty entrenched by the napkin sketch sales pitch. I remember the first time I heard this pitch with the 80s 7-up character Fido Dido. I thought that with perfect skill I could speak to world if I had something to say. I later found that great products tend to come from good teams so I try to focus my skill into my dev group.
